Power Rangers Jungle Fury: Exclusive US Action Figures!!!

21 10 2007

Some fans will howl in rage that Power Rangers has once again “ruined Sentai”, some fans will applaud the US version of the show for being original (”for once!”) and others might hold this new development as a “victory” of some sort over Sentai.

I just think it’s neat.

Looks like PRJF might be for going animal based Kensei and instead have these animal themes applied directly to the Rangers themselves, giving us Bat Ranger, Elephant Ranger and Shark Ranger modes that are exclusive to Power Rangers. Not a bad idea and this should result in some pretty awesome helmet designs. This news was broke by the RangerBoard’s Dino_Ranger_White, and then brought home to us here by HaiTien78.

STREET FIGHTER IV - A New Challenger Appears!!

19 10 2007

If there’s one thing we all love here in the Halls of Justice… it’s a good fight! And it looks like Capcom’s giving us just that. Along with the video game industry fulfilling other fanboy wishes such as bringing The Bionic Commando back (even if he’s got an arm that looks like it’s stuffed full of hotdogs), bringing Okami to the Wii, and the Return of Contra ; Capcom is bringing us a proper sequal to the immortal Street Fighter Saga with Street Fighter IV. I wanted to top off the weekend with a video and I was going to post up something Ultraman, but I’m still not able to get Stage6 to work right for me. For now, I hope you enjoy seeing ol’ Ryu and Ken mix it up and next week we’ll see if I can get ya something a bit more meaty.

Next Week On Kamen Rider Den-O

THE TRAIN KING INSIDE THE TRAIN

Ryutaros, deceived by Kai, has made the Den Liner lose control. The Taros try to somehow stop it but the Leo Soldiers of the Leo Imagin get in their way.
“You’ll never be able to connect your heart to your beloved Airi”. After Kai stabs Ryu-Ryotaro with this painful truth, Ryuutaros’ mind goes blank and attacks Kai, who uses his special ability and has the Ryutaros dancers attack Ryutaros. Ryutaros, still possessing Ryotaro, has no other choice but to run.
The remaining Taros manage to get rid of the Leo Soldiers but the Den Liner won’t stop. Left like this, the two trains will crash with Naomi still inside.
What will happen to the Den Liner and Zero Liner?

If left like this, the Kensei won’t stay alive for more than an hour, time in which all their life will be sucked out. The Gekirangers confront Kata and Maku. Meanwhile, Ken goes to the Triangle Branch to check on SaiDain when he encounters Rageku. Finally, the battle between the Gekijuuken and the Rinjuuken, the GekiRin rebellion, has started again.

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight: The Official New Cast

18 10 2007

File this under “old as hell” news, but I know that more and more people out there are hearing the name “Kamen Rider Dragon Knight” on the wind. And with it, more and more people are clicking us up to check in on what this is all about. So I thought I’d post this up for posterity.

Gone is Matt Smith the original Kit and…. brace yourself people….. gone is Kandis Erickson the beloved original Maya that stole all our hearts. We here at HJU wish them both the best, and personally I hope they both get recast someday in future episodes of Kamen Rider. I mean, how hot would and Evil Female Rider be, played by Kandis?!

In their place, new challengers have arisen to take up the mantle of Kit the Dragon Knight and Maya. They are Stephen Lunsford and, you just might have heard it here first folks, the name of the new Maya is Yvonne Arias. Stephen’s showed up on shows sucht as Bratz and Zoey 101. Yvonne has been seen as Nurse Martinez on one of my favorite shows, SCRUBS, and even appeared in a little known Dungeons & Dragons movie called, Gamers. A little birdie told me that filming is rolling along just prime, two episodes are in the can and that the new cast is having a blast doing up the soon to be releases American version of Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

Like I said, most of us already know, but I thought I’d put this up here for what newcomers we might be seeing in the coming months. In the mean time, to wet your visual whistle, hit the jump and check out the trailer featuring the former heroes of Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

The Return of Ultraman Tiga! - TAKE ME HIGHER! (Again!)

17 10 2007

So hot off the heels of Ultraseven X, it’s been revealed via August Ragone that the next Ultra Series movie will feature the return of…get this…ULTRAMAN TIGA!

The last we heard of him, Daigo’s son had taken the power of Light and fought off against a group of baddies in Ancient Japan in the Heisei Ultra OV (Original Video) Series. Now, Daigo, played by Hiroshi Nagano, will be reprising the role once again for a brand spanking new movie in 2008, entitled “Daikessen! Cho Urutora Hachi Urutora Kyodai” (Decisive Battle! The Eight Super Ultra Brothers).

No word yet on who the other seven Ultras joining Tiga in the fight will be but Ultra Series alumni/producer, Kiyoshi Suzuki, hinted that Showa and Heisei will be brought together for the first time. Could this be the team up that we wished the first installment of Ultraman Legend could have been? Stay tuned to HJU for further updates!

Marvel Reveals “New” Captain America

17 10 2007

Marvel promised a reveal of…something today at noon – something to do with Alex Ross. Their only news announcement of the week.

Speculation has ranged from something involving Captain America (Ross is one of the creative forces behind Avengers/Invaders coming next year from Marvel) to possibly Marvels 2 and…well, really back to Captain America.

As for the reveal? Looks like those betting on Captain America were right.

Credit goes to scikaiju for finding this.

With Mike recovering after having been turned into Tang/LCL last episode, Sylene jumps into the hot seat to unleash the long awaited Power Morphicon episode. Featuring an interview with Austin St. John and Steve Cardenas (Jason and Rocky respectively) from “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” and one very epic convention highlight montage. At least in my opinion it is…
