While I’m happy as a button that there are folk that did enjoy Den-O, I hated pretty much having to go without Kamen Rider for an entire year. Thankfully GekiRanger and Rio more than picked up the Toku slack for me. But Kiva, I absolutely adore. Episode 20 is one of my favorites. So, for those just passing buy and wanting to give a curious click… here’s Kiva at its best. GP20 - SIBLING BATTLE?!
Airs July 6th 2008.

Saki spots Hiroto in a date with a beautiful girl. Turns out that Sousuke and the others have seen the same thing separately. Meanwhile, ChainsawBanki, the reborn form of NokogiriBanki appears. The Go-ongers and Go-on Wings confront him but ChainsawBanki starts telling everyone about Hiroto dating. Miu can’t accept the “ani” she’s so proud of is behaving like this and intends to find the truth.

OVERTURE: THE INTERSECTION OF FATE

1986. Jiro requests Yuri’s response to his proposal but she can’t say “Yes” because of Otoya in her mind too. Otoya, meanwhile, is approached by his childhood friend Kumi, who asks him to help her working in his brother’s place, as he is injured. Otoya happily accepts and the two look like a happy couple; Yuri is less than happy with this…

2008. Mio, as shy and propense to failure as Wataru is set up in a date with Kengo by Megumi, in the latter’s attempt to make her have a life change. Kengo, who fell for Mio almost immediately is thrilled to do it but Mio can’t keep up with Kengo and drops out. Then, Megumi sets her up with Wataru and the two click.

When it comes to my Toku Toys I don’t need that many. If a series particularly impresses me, I like to attain at least one momento from the show.

My Garren Buckle was my welcome back to the fandom.

The story goes that once upon a time I kinda fell out of the game. It was at the end of my run at Japan Hero and I just didn’t watch anything. Then the itch crept up on me. And then I heard whisper of folk wanting me to start up a new website. And as I started to lay down the first bits of the HJU foundation I hit eBay and splurged on a box set of Kamen Rider Blade. While gunning through that show I became a pretty big fan of Kamen Rider Garren and eventually hit eBay again to score the Garren Buckle and Rouser. Now, the Rouser stays with me, but the Buckle could be yours to win.

The rules are as follows:
-$1.50 enters your name into the hat. You can enter as many times as you like.
-Raffle ends as of the 4th of July.
-On that date I will pick a name out of a hat.
-Shipping is not included in the winning. It shouldn’t be too much and depending on how many entries I get, maybe I’ll either cover it or split the cost with you.

Here’s the why:
-I’ve my eyes set on another buckle. A Kamen Rider IXA Buckle. I’d become a pretty big fan of Kamen Rider Kiva and of the hero’s father, Otoya. Sure, Nago-san may be the lead guy on the show to wear the IXA Buckle, but I cheer the most when Otoya suits up with it.
-The Buckle is modded. This is the other reason I’m doing a raffle as oppose to selling it on eBay. The plastic stud on the belt has been cut out so that one can more easily add a strap to properly wear the belt. So, the Buckle not being in completely the same condition as when I bought it means that I’ll probably get more for it through raffle and you’ll spend less on it that you would through eBay.
-I like the idea of having a HJU contest. Kinda sounds fun. ^__^ But the idea is not my own. Originally the idea was Mike Dent’s of R5 Central. Over at his operation for the same amount you stand to win a Kamen Rider Kabuto Zector and Action Figure….. although I’m not finding a post anywhere about it. More as it breaks!

RHAPSODY: THE WHEREABOUTS OF THE RING
Airs June 22nd 2008. (Yes, we have a golf tournament this week…)

1986. After getting his encouraging words, Yuri seems to be a little more open to Otoya, they even go on a Ramen date. Sensing Yuri’s haste, Jiro decides to give her an engagement ring out of the blue. Yuri certainly doesn’t dislike Jiro but everything is too sudden. Jiro insists.

2008. Kengo wants to be Nago’s disciple. Seems like he got touched by the way Ixa fought. Kengo even begs on his knees and Nago…asks him for a monthly tuition fee! Kengo immediately sets a multiple date. Megumi is invited and seems enthusiastic and even Wataru ends up taking part…

GP18 - MIDDLE CLASS HEROES
Airs June 15th 2008.

Miu, strangely interested in the Go-ongers goes looking for them. After seeing how they live in the Ginjiro, she tells them that they need to be well fed and dressed first, and takes them to a luxurious restaurant and then to a fancy boutique. Sousuke tells Miu that a hero’s value is not what he eats or wears, to which Miu answers that a hero thinks of other people’s happiness and as such, has to know first what’s their own happiness about. However, the Savage Machine Beast VacuumBanki appears and kidnaps Miu…
