Kamen Rider Dragon Knight: Unmasked Rider Names Revealed
Ahead of Kamen Rider Dragon Knight’s planned early-2009 premiere, a rundown collected the names and known details for the show’s roster of alternate-universe Riders, drawing on information circulating about the KRDK universe (an American adaptation of Kamen Rider Ryuki).
Kit Taylor, holder of the Dragon Knight deck, was named as the series’ lead: an ordinary young man drawn into the conflict who teams up with Wing Knight to search for his missing father and take down the antagonist General Xaviax. Len, bearer of the Wing Knight deck, was described as one of the “Twelve Kamen Rider Defenders of Ventara” who held the line against Xaviax’s forces and failed.
Several other Riders were named with only fragments of information attached at that point. Kamen Rider Siren’s real identity was unknown, though she was said to “like to hunt.” Kamen Rider Incisor, also unidentified, was pegged as the first to challenge Dragon Knight and Wing Knight. Kamen Rider Torque was named as Drew, noted as cunning enough to eventually turn Kit against Wing Knight. Kamen Rider Sting was described as a soldier serving a general who, unbeknownst to him, wasn’t from his own world. Kamen Rider Camo was called possibly the best fighter across both worlds. Kamen Rider Axe, seen trading blows with Len, was said to have a brother. Kamen Rider Spear and Kamen Rider Thrust were listed as names only, with no further detail available. Kamen Rider Strike was identified as worn by a character called JTC, established as a rival to Len. Kamen Rider Onyx remained a mystery, notable for wearing armor visually similar to Dragon Knight’s own. Kamen Rider Wrath was flagged as a total unknown, but speculated to be the most dangerous of the group based on parallels drawn to the original Japanese Ryuki storyline, in which characters Shinji Kiddo and Ren Akiyama fought to unravel the schemes of Shiro Kanzaki.
