Ryuki Takahashi Cast as the Lead in Kamen Rider Fourze

Ryuki Takahashi was confirmed as the star of Kamen Rider Fourze, the series slated to premiere once Kamen Rider OOO concluded. The news came by way of Taito Hashimoto, who played the villain Kazari in OOO and shares membership with Takahashi in the actors’ group D-Boys.

Hashimoto posted a short reaction on his blog as OOO neared its end, expressing mixed feelings about handing the franchise off: pride in his successor, tempered by his own reluctance to let the role go. The post was later deleted by his talent agency. Before Fourze, Takahashi had appeared in the stage productions Mahou Shojo wo Wasurenai, High Kick Girl, and a Prince of Tennis musical alongside Masahiro Inoue.
