Saban Trademarks… POWER RIDER

Yup. Saban Entertainment is just getting warmed up with Power Rangers Samurai and dropping every series on Netflix.

Yesterday it was discovered that Saban has now filed a trademark for Power Rider. And if you want my opinion…. I’m betting it’ll be used for Kamen Rider Decade. First and foremost.. money matters. And the main cash cow for money is toys. The reason why we started with Kamen Rider Dragon Knight here in the US is because it had so many suits and so much potential for toys. The next Rider series that offers the most bang for the toy buck is Kamen Rider Decade which already has Japanese footage crossing the series over with Samurai. If Saban wants to kick off a new series, there’s already a cross over episode from Shinkenger to do it.

    Hope it is good. Dragon Knight was good but had major flaws and the american toys sucked.

    ok seriously, this is like the worst idea ever. I’m sure Dragon Knight was good as a TV Show (granted, i’ve never really watched it, only bits and pieces), but MAN did the toys SUCK. Did they even release a deck for all the riders? Or all the weapons? Of course not those fucking fags. Then again though, I guess North American kids don’t really give a shit. And here it seems action figures are more popular than actual like belts, morphing gear and such. But, I find this one ESPECIALLY to be a bad idea since all these riders are gonna pop up and kids are gonna be like “ohhhh wtf is that? never seen that before”. Which TOTALLY destroys the point of Decade (if the adaptation even is decade). But of course, if they hire a great writer everything can be altered. And if this really is Decade, I wonder what shitty voice actor they’re going to hire to do the belt audios.

    why not do kabuto is they want many suits. That series had a lot of riders and it does fit the whole american thinh with aliens so they might not have to alter the story much lol

    I think Kabuto, W, or ooo would be more bang for the buck, you see alot more riders and variations, the story of Decade is a mess, it would be easier to do what they are currently doing, or what they have done in the past, which is taking a single series that has no ties and then do cross overs as they feel like it, like the time they did with the original power rangers and Masker rider

    Still think they should just dub Kuuga. My little brother and sister watch OOO with me on occasion and they love it just the way it is. My sister is ten years old and was figureing out major plot points as quickly as I was explaining things to her. Although she does find Anhk cute and that just worries me…On the plus side my little brother kicks ass at Climax heroes and he is only six. I love it when he screams rider kick and then punches me…he is six after all

    EXACTLY!! that’s the ONE thing i don’t get, why don’t they just do Kabuto? I mean holy fuck, out of all the stuff they could have chosen in terms of the amount of riders (Hibiki, Kabuto, Ryuki), they picked RYUKI? the series that was based on CARDS, and the toylines had CARD READERS embeded in them? Suuuuuuuuure that’ll be WAAAAY more cost efficient than having toys that look like bugs with only three functions.

    Like, who the FUCK are these businessmen behind this stuff?? Do they even have proper education to make something profitable?? If you’re going to adapt kamen rider, do with with either kuuga (for its awesome plot), kabuto (for the number of riders), or kiva (a series that can be EASILY be adapted for western audiences).

    Decade reliesm on knowledge of other hesei shows too much, and him being pink wouldn’t do wonders with new fans either. I vote kiva or double. Kiva because vampires are the “it thing” nowadays, and double because they could just wait until the next power rangers cartoon, and run both shows alongside each other.

    I’m curious. Will Kamen Rider Black RX be played as Dex. Since, Masked Rider is a part of the Power Rangers universe and all PR seasos are 1 time line.

    Get out.Did you not remember what Disney did with Power Rangers Jungle Force? They took over half way through the series and completely destroyed it,made it garbage.Every series after that,except for maybe one or two exceptions,were horrible.

    No, Because Micheal Eisner was in charge, but he’s gone now, Plus Disney will take all Of Saban including Haim, so Haim will run Power Rangers under Disney, and it will be better and stronger than ever was! Don’t tell me to get out, i’m a big Power Rangers/Sentai Fan!
