First Trailer of GARO: Dragon of the Blue Cry

The first trailer for GARO: Dragon of the Blue Cry was posted online, showing a notably more colorful look than earlier entries in the series. The film picks up on Kouga’s agreement to travel to the Promised Land at the end of GARO: Makai Senki, and the trailer suggests heavy use of green-screen work in service of otherworldly visuals. GARO had never had the largest budget, but director Keita Amemiya appeared to have more resources than before to build out the film’s setting.

The trailer premiered at a special screening during the Tokyo International Film Festival, with a wider theatrical release in Tokyo planned for February of the following year.
