Kamen Rider: Battle Ride Wars Announced as a Dynasty Warriors-Style Game

Namco announced Kamen Rider: Battle Ride Wars for PlayStation 3 in January 2013, targeting a May release. A teaser site opened the night before the announcement, showing cryptic images of three Rider motorcycles (Kamen Rider Kuuga’s TryChaser 2000, Kamen Rider Hibiki’s Gaika, and Kamen Rider Kiva’s Machine Kivaa) that hinted the game’s action would center on the Riders and their signature bikes.

Japanese magazine Famitsu described the gameplay as modeled on the Dynasty Warriors series, with players taking a single Rider through waves of weaker enemies, either riding their motorcycle or fighting on foot. Only Heisei-era Riders had been confirmed at announcement. The standard edition was priced at 7,480 yen, with a Premium TV Sound Edition, bundling thirty extra music tracks from across the franchise as an in-game custom soundtrack option, retailing for 10,480 yen. The game released on PlayStation 3 on May 28, 2013.
