New G-Gundam Manga Announced for Gundam Ace Magazine

Gundam Ace magazine announced a new manga based on Mobile Fighter G-Gundam, set to begin serialization in March 2013. The teaser image released alongside the announcement showed modernized designs for the Bolt, Rose, Maxter, and Dragon Gundams.

At the time, Gundam Ace was already running a manga tied to New Mobile Report Gundam Wing, and Bandai had released 1/100 scale Master Grade model kits, including a Master Grade Tallgeese, based on the designs used in that manga. The pairing of a Gundam Ace serialization with new model-kit releases raised the possibility of similar merchandise following the new G-Gundam manga, though no kits had been confirmed at the time of the announcement.
