Ultraseven Episode 12: The Banned Episode

The 12th episode of Ultraseven was pulled from broadcast for depicting after-effects of the atomic bombings that ended World War II. In the Japan of that era, with the after-effects of the bombings still an open wound, the episode’s subject matter was judged too soon for broadcast and the episode was shelved.

The episode later resurfaced online, giving audiences a rare look at a long-unseen piece of tokusatsu history.
