Gatchaman Movie Suits Go on Public Display in Shibuya

Toho put the newly designed team suits from its upcoming live-action Gatchaman film on public display in Shibuya, Tokyo, ahead of the movie’s August 28, 2013 theatrical release. The display, positioned outside the 109 Men’s department store a short walk from Shibuya Station, was protected only by simple tape rather than a sealed case, a detail suggesting the suits on show were replicas rather than the reported $200,000 screen-used originals.

The film starred Tori Matsuzaka, known to tokusatsu audiences as Shinken Red from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, in a lead role.
