A Visit to the Kamen Rider x Super Sentai W Hero Matsuri

The Kamen Rider x Super Sentai W Hero Matsuri, held during August at the Prism Hall in Tokyo Dome City, brought together an exhibition of suits on display, games, and toys, drawing families with Rider-themed racing games, a mock Shocker recruitment drive, and regular live shows where attendees could meet the heroes afterward. A photo-op area let visitors sit on a replica of Kamen Rider Wizard’s Winger motorcycle for 1,000 yen, and a display in one corner ran through Super Sentai opening sequences from oldest to newest, with occasional dance sessions set to Kyoryuger’s ending theme.

The live stage show, closed to photography, featured Wizard and Beast fighting a monster attempting to plunge the audience into despair, with live-performed stunts and a mix of laser-projected effects. As the fight turned, Kamen Riders 1, 2, V3, Amazon, Double, OOO, Fourze, and Meteor arrived to help defeat a series of grunts, before the villain revealed himself as Kamen Rider Sorcerer from the Kamen Rider Wizard film. The audience was cued to help generate the magic needed for Wizard to transform into his strongest form, Infinity, and defeat the villain.
