1. Well, it could be. It was a very early episode [1 or 2, I think?], so the poster artist could very well have just been watching those for reference, and used the pose there, without knowing what it is a reference to. It IS a pretty awesome pose, after all.

      1. This was drawn by Ciro Nieli, who runs the current TMNT. He’s a Kamen Rider fan to the point where he went as Kamen Rider 1 for halloween complete with light up eyes. Not a coincidence.
