Kamen Rider Baron is trading in his banana spear for a flaming torch this year as Kamen Rider Gaim actor Kobayashi Yutaka will represent Japan as a torchbearer in the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. Though many of us know him as the uncompromising dancer-turned-antihero Kumon Kaito, both befriending and often clashing with his superpowered rival Kouta, he first made his name as a member of the J-pop group BOYS AND MEN, whose website made the announcement of his Olympics involvement. With vivacious period costumes and inventive style, they caught the eye of many enraptured fans. Their songs "Boymen Ninja" and "Wanna be!" both climbed to the top of the Japanese music charts, securing Kobayashi's stardom for years to come. https://youtu.be/XjThC01xnZI Japan will compete in the Oly...

Since 1993, Saban has dazzled children and parents alike with the exploits of the spandex-clad heroes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and their many, many offshoots which have stretched their reign of dominance over toy aisles and screens across the entertainment landscape. We've often wondered what it was that made this show tick behind the scenes, and why certain creative decisions may have been made in the last few years, which saw a sharp decline in audience reception, ironically a short time after the newly-christened Saban Brands retook the Power Rangers intellectual property from temporary rights-holders Disney. That was 2010. S...

One hundred percent honest with you.  When we did HyperForce this week, there were only eight hundred viewers....That's not enough.  That's not enough for Saban to go, like, 'oh, enough people like this show.'
