Review: Kamen Rider Build DX Rocket Panda Full Bottle Set

Kamen Rider, Reviews, Toku, Toys
Kamen Rider Build's 5th Best Match is the Flying Monotone! RocketPanda! This form is, unsurprisingly, made from the Rocket Full Bottle and the Panda Full Bottle. Panda is done up in a translucent white plastic and creates a cute image of a panda face. On the other hand, Rocket uses a light, almost sky blue color to differentiate itself from the other blue bottles, Tank and Diamond. It features the image of a rocket ship about to take off, complete with billowing smoke on the bottom, motion lines and some cool perspective work. Ultimately, these are 2 more solid Full Bottles and fans of Build are definitely gonna want them for their collections. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ap6ihNivaE&feature=youtu.be For this and other Kamen Rider and Tokusatsu merchandise, check out CSToys a...
Review: Kamen Rider Build DX 4 Koma Ninpoutou

Review: Kamen Rider Build DX 4 Koma Ninpoutou

Kamen Rider, Reviews, Toku, Toys
Well, if there is one thing to complain about with the Kamen Rider Build series so far, it's the toys. More specifically, the role play weapons (and the gimmick line, but we've been over that already). The Drill Crusher was underwhelming but it did come with a Full Bottle making it feel like a decent purchase. Then the Hawkgatlinger abandoned the Full Bottle gimmick and while it wasn't offensively bad it was far from a "must own" toy. Now we have the 4 Koma Ninpoutou aka the Ninja Art-Invoking Four-frame Ninja Sword and its name is the longest thing about it. The sword itself I think is a cool concept, combining a pen and a sword making a pretty sweet weapon in the show, but as a toy it ends up being more pen than sword. If I haven't made my point clear enough yet, this thing is tiny...

Review: Kamen Rider Build DX Ninnin Comic Full Bottle Set

Kamen Rider, Reviews, Toku, Toys
Kamen Rider Build's 3rd Full Bottle collectible set is that of Ninja and Comic. A bright purple and yellow duo, these two combine to give Sento his Ninnin Comic form. There's not much more to say, they're standard Full Bottles. The sculpted detail is nice, the sounds effects are solid and the price is highly affordable and super wallet friendly. If you like the Full Bottle gimmick, you'll like Ninnin Comic. Now, please enjoy my review for the Stealthy Entertainer! Yeeeeeeeah! https://youtu.be/M5vKixnVYIk For this and other Kamen Rider and Tokusatsu merchandise, check out CSToys and BigBadToyStore.

New posters for this winter's Kamen Rider mega-crossover event, Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FINAL: Build & Ex-Aid with Legend Riders, have surfaced, and we've got our microscopes handy for some good old-fashioned speculation about what these images could mean for the landmark film. As the headlining Kamen Rider Build takes center stage as the final Rider series of this decades-long franchise to air during Japan's Heisei Era, this can be seen as the closing chapter of an epic saga. At least until next year, where we inevitably start all over again. First, the beautious new posters for the film, featuring the star-studded cast of superheroic figures of past and present, among which are a few actors that many Rider fans never believed they'd see again. Oh yes. From left to r...

Kamen Rider Build Episode 7 Won’t Go Quietly Into The Night

As we hit the gong on this drama-filled half-hour, the identity of Night Rogue is finally revealed, an angry Ryuuga goes ape, and a sad panda fights a losing battle in a strange land. It's just another day at the mad scientist's office for Kamen Rider Build, in Episode 7! For those of us still keeping score, this makes seven straight episodes now that Kamen Rider Build has directly affected the main plot of the series and moved us forward at a strong pace. At some point, I may get sick of pointing this out, but today is not that day. I'm still tickled pink at the prospect of a Kamen Rider show with at least 40-something episodes of pure development and very little fat to trim. It's been fivever since I was this engaged, and I don't want the ride to stop. We begin with Ryuuga impati...

Kamen Rider Build: 2nd Kamen Rider’s Official Name Revealed

Kamen Rider, Toku, toku
The official romanization of Kamen Rider Build's secondary Kamen Rider hero was revealed by an official underwear, of all things. For months, fans speculated and wondered how to write the show's 2nd Kamen Rider, giving us Kamen Rider Clothes, Close, Claws and something quite close to the real name, with Cross. As revealed in the underwear, the official romanization of the show's second Rider is: Kamen Rider Cross-Z. Kamen Rider Cross-Z uses the Cross-Z Dragon to transform by inserting the Dragon Full Bottle in it and inserting it on the Build Driver. This Kamen Rider is expected to debut in November.   [Source: Build Rider News]

‘Kamen Rider W: Fuuto Detectives’ Knows Which Way The Wind Blows

In the summer of 2010, tokusatsu fans said goodbye to the lovable heroes of the Narumi Detective Agency, and the many wacky denizens of Fuuto City, when Kamen Rider W came to an end. Of course, several appearances occurred after that, but the loss of this pulpy action-noir world in regular doses was perhaps felt more strongly for some than with most other titles in the Kamen Rider pantheon. While the tradition of a new Kamen Rider taking up the spotlight from the old with each passing year continued to be observed, introducing us to many wondrous new facets of this crazy franchise, there was always a special place in my heart for the two-in-one detectives, Shotaro and Phillip, and their quest to rid the city of dangerous contraband known as Gaia Memories. It's with this thought in min...

Kamen Rider Ryuki’s Matsuda Satoshi Announces Birth of First Child

Articles, Blog, Culture, Kamen Rider, Movies & TV, News, Toku, Uncategorized
In 2002, actor Matsuda Satoshi played the tough, brooding warrior Kamen Rider Knight, filling the children of Japan with wonder at his exploits with super-powered friends and foes on Kamen Rider Ryuki. This month, he announced that a child of his own has arrived. Matsuda, who played the prickly, black-clad Akiyama Ren (as well as the voice of his American counterpart in Kamen Rider Dragon Knight), had these thoughts to share on the momentous occasion. I have, Become a Father(* ̄▽ ̄) For me who had grown in a family where "My father was no longer there for my Birthday of One Year Old", this is the most distant feeling that "I will become a Father". Should I say it is because of the Stork (Kounotori) Um? Kouno, Dori?? (It doesn't matter which ever it is!). This small life whi...

Kamen Rider Build Episode 6 Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop

Fists are flying in this episode of Kamen Rider Build. After a slightly weaker entry for the previous week, we come back as strong as ever with another fantastic installment in this series that continues to rock my socks. Build, where have you been all my life? Returning us to where we left off, Episode 6 begins with Ryuuga continuing to follow Tatsuya, whom he had deliberately re-infected with Smash essence, turning him back into a brainwashed monster. And wouldn't you know it, we've found the bad guys' lair in the sixth freaking episode of this series, continuing Build's trend of taking the rule book and torching it on a pyre of flaming tropes and modern cliches. Good riddance! After Ryuuga finds himself surrounded, Build comes through with a surprising rescue. Despite getting kn...
