Level up the drama with these promotional videos for the new Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Trilogy releases. In the aftermath of the colorful explosionfest of the Kamen Rider Ex-Aid television series, there's plenty of unfinished business (and toys to sell) from the cast of doctors-turned-video-game heroes fighting to protect their patients from the bizarre "game sickness". And they're not pulling any punches with this set of home video sequels. People are screaming bloody murder, or just plain getting bloody murdered, as shots are fired, people have conversations with themselves, and computer-generated super-nurse Poppy is... just as Poppy as she's ever been. Check em out. https://youtu.be/fpfMwtLwOWU https://youtu.be/knTTb8wpaSA Daaamn. Not only did they bring back Hiro's lost lady Saki for on...

KAMEN RIDER BUILD Episode 12: How To Build Bridges & Get Over Them

Will someone please tell these people that their finale isn't for another several months? How is it possible that they keep coming out with one spectacular episode after another? This isn't how things normally go. I'm not used to this! Kamen Rider Build continues to take the rule book for not just Kamen Rider but weekly tokusatsu TV in general and toss it to the wind one page at a time, showing no signs of stopping this train as it speeds along the tracks toward Awesome Town. Last time, young fugitive Banjou Ryuuga took back a piece of what was taken from him when he was wrongly imprisoned for the murder of Katsuragi Takumi, at last transforming into Kamen Rider Cross-Z, the show's second hero next to his new pal, genius outlaw Kiryuu Sento. In the wake of Ryuuga's first official Ride...

Talk About Lucky! (That’s an Order): An UCHUU SENTAI KYURANGER Review

I was determined not to come back with another Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger review that talked predominately about lead character Lucky, but it seems my fate was written in the constellations. This show, about a team of futuristic space trekkers boldly going up against the Jark Matter Empire, quickly became a new favorite for me, winning me over with its adventurous theme, great characters, and fun ideas. To this day, my feelings in that regard have not changed. Though I suppose I've squished those sentiments into a tiny side pocket now that the show has so aggressively pursued one of Super Sentai's worst habits: Putting an inordinate amount of attention onto the dude in red. The luckiest liberator in the whole wide universe is not only the unofficially official leader of this enormous team...

Well, here we are. At the moment many of us have been waiting several weeks for: When the identity of the new hero of the Kamen Rider Build TV series is finally revealed. Of course, everybody and their momma had already figured it out ages ago, and it's doubtful the show was even trying to keep it a big secret this whole time. But for those of us who have been loving the show so far, and watching the quick but steady growth of Ryuuga as a character, coming into his own as a freedom fighter in this upside-down world our protagonists are living in, it's been something to look forward to. And the moment of truth definitely does not disappoint. Let's dive into the eleventh episode of this stellar series as I continue to wonder if they can possibly sustain this level of quality throughout at ...

Kamen Rider Build Episode 10 Shows Us How It’s Done, With an Action-Packed Heist

It's been two weeks since our last visit with the motley crew of heroes, rivals, and frenemies of Kamen Rider Build, and they've chosen quite the cliffhanger to leave us dangling from. With the Touto science lab about to be invaded by the terrorist organization known as Faust, loyalties on every possible side are being tested at each corner, tensions are high, and the show has geared up for its most thrilling episode yet. How do they keep outdoing themselves like this? We begin with a rare recap that doesn't include a pseudo-fourth-wall-breaker of the main characters sarcastically commenting on their own show as usual, instead preferring to just roll the clips in as dramatic a fashion as they can muster, slowly building us toward the coming siege. After the opening credits (with a s...

In Ultraman Fusion Fight, the towering monsters of the Ultra Series multiverse and the giant heroes who defend against them are swept up in a battle for supremacy. As modern Ultraman features characters whose strange and varied forms are combined and manipulated into new "fusions", this arcade-style Carddass game capitalizes on that feature to the Nth degree, constantly updating with newer and more bizarre meldings of popular figures from their decades-spanning franchise. Including those of 2017's Ultraman Geed and 2016's Ultraman Orb. If the name Carddass makes you think of aliens from Star Trek rather than the mechanics of the game, fret not. As far back as 1988, toy behemoth Bandai has consistently released new DataCarddass collectible trading cards, based upon many well-known prop...

The seventh entry in the ongoing monster-fighting Ultra Series, Leo battled all manner of beast both alien and terrestrial, making a name for himself in Tsuburaya Productions' giant superhero franchise. Well, that settles it. With this episode ending the way it does, leading us into a direct continuation for next time, that means Kamen Rider Build has had ten straight episodes of pure plot with absolutely no narrative pitstops. Skip episodes at your own peril with this show, they're not taking any breaks. They may, on occasion, break you though. With one leap of development and dramatic revelation after another, no stones are left unturned with this amazing series and my love for it increases with each passing week. After another amazing recap, where genius amnesiac Kiryuu Sento learns that cafe owner Isurugi Soichi gave him his new name by throwing together the Japanese characters for "tank" (sen) and "rabbit" (to) and combining them with the family name of his barber Kiryuu, our st...
