The battle to save Touto from the fires of war continue on Kamen Rider Build, as genius amnesiac Kiryuu Sento finds he's not the only bug-eyed super-dude without memories running around these days. Last time, Kamen Rider Kiva's Takeda Touhei debuted as the new mystery soldier from neighboring territory Hokuto, leading the charge (in his own lethargic, unmotivated way) into Touto to retrieve the Martian Pandora Box, and the Full Bottles needed to access its immense, unknowable power. Now, he and his three dopey subordinates are ready to butt heads with Sento and Ryuuga to prove their mettle. But first, another recap, as narrated by Sento, though this time we find our sarcastic hero in a surprisingly low-key mood. Recent events have taken the wind out of his sails, but a sudden intrusio...

Let's talk toys. Specifically, Bandai's S.H.Figuarts Shinkoucchou Seihou line, and five items that I think should be added to the list of new and upcoming pieces. It's a good old-fashioned Top 5 list! Hosting this segment is our contributor, TaJa Doyle, an avid collector and reviewer for Tamashii Nations’ products. One can check out his reviews over on his YouTube Channel, Wheelchair21. This list will consist of Toei productions, and characters we want to see join the high-end Shinkocchou Seihou series. The line is known for perfectly capturing the likeness of the combat suits as seen on screen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6L1w-3xLQWY 5. Kamen Rider OOO TaToBa The original S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider OOO TaToBa released in Spring 2011. It was met with a mediocre response from col...

Kamen River Kiva is making a comeback. As I clutch my pearls at the thought of it already being a decade since this amazing fantasy action series left the airwaves, Kiva's celebrating its tenth anniversary in style. We've already heard of the new Blu-ray set coming to home video, as well as the introduction of fan-favorite actor Takeda Touhei making his recent debut as a mysterious new superpowered figure in the current series Kamen Rider Build. But why stop there? Surely there's some other way to bring honor to the bat-themed hero and his outrageous circle of friends and rivals as we look back on their wacky adventures together? Well, that's where Kamen Rider The Diner comes in. As previously mentioned, Kamen Rider The Diner has been operating in Ikebukuro, Japan since 2011, serving ...

It's funny. I started out reviewing Kamen Rider Build under the assumption that, at some point, it would be less necessary to discuss each episode of the series on an individual basis. Like with most entries into the Kamen Rider franchise (to say nothing of its counterparts in Super Sentai), I expected that we'd eventually reach a point where installments would feel less substantial and thus, waiting a while between reviews would make perfect sense. Nope! Kamen Rider Build has consistently flipped the script on our expectations, bringing new and exciting twists on its narrative week after week, leaving very little room for its fans to lose interest as we barrel through toward the finish line. Before the show's brief hiatus, we were left on a cliffhanger that spelled potential doom for...

Well, that was fast. After the high drama of our last episode in this amazing series, I incorrectly assumed it would take us a moment to regroup before leaping straight back into the business with Acting Prime Minister Himuro Gentoku and his twisted bid for power, after being exposed for the treasonous conspirator that he is. I should have known by now: Kamen Rider Build laughs in the face of such flimsy expectations. Your timeline is too slow for them. They know what they want to do and there's no time like the present to execute. Episode 16 begins exactly where episode 15 ended, with Gentoku being hauled off for his considerable crimes against his own Touto government, until our genius amnesiac hero Kiryuu Sento stops him to ask why the former minister was taunting him in their prio...

Drop the Violin & Pick Up a Bottle! Kamen Rider Grease Appears!

Kamen Rider, News, tokusatsu
Recently, the identity of the new Kamen Rider Grease was finally revealed. Yet, for those who have not been following the Kamen Rider Build television series, Grease is the third Rider that will appear in the series. This character's information has been teased since mid to late fall through various toy catalogue and magazine scans. Now, unlike Kamen Rider Build, Kamen Rider Grease will be using the Sclash Driver and the Sclashjellies to transform rather than the Build Driver and Full Bottles. His signature weapon is known as the Twin Breaker.  Now, as for the identity of Kamen Rider Grease, it is Saruwatari Kazumi who will be portrayed by Kohei Takeda. Kamen Rider Grease is stated to a secret assassin hired by Hokuto. According to Natalie, Saruwatari Kazumi will debut...

Well, here we are. At the moment many of us have been waiting several weeks for: When the identity of the new hero of the Kamen Rider Build TV series is finally revealed. Of course, everybody and their momma had already figured it out ages ago, and it's doubtful the show was even trying to keep it a big secret this whole time. But for those of us who have been loving the show so far, and watching the quick but steady growth of Ryuuga as a character, coming into his own as a freedom fighter in this upside-down world our protagonists are living in, it's been something to look forward to. And the moment of truth definitely does not disappoint. Let's dive into the eleventh episode of this stellar series as I continue to wonder if they can possibly sustain this level of quality throughout at ...

As I quietly cry into a bowl of soggy cheerios over the fact that it's already been 10 years since this stellar series, check these stats for the upcoming release. Cho-Animedia brings us the lowdown on these items, reportedly containing never-before-seen reflections from the show's cast. A total of three separate sets have been announced at 19,600 yen a pop. Starting with the first release on January 10, then the second on March 7, and finally May 9 will see the last installment. A sweet home video release for any creature of the night.
