They're passing out wars like candy these days, aren't they? This time, it's for Kamen Rider City Wars, the new mobile game where you're tasked with building your own city from the ground up, potentially filled with memorable landmarks and totem locations from the decades-spanning Kamen Rider superhero franchise. Heroes and villains from every era are joining the party, from the original Kamen Rider Ichigo to this year's Kamen Rider Ex-Aid and Kamen Rider Build, and the dozens in-between, all fighting to save their city from costumed evildoers.
This free-to-play smartphone app proved so popular in pre-registration that Bandai Namco Entertainment is offering 250 Hero Stones, Tech Cards, and bonus gasha, but this gift is only available until December 26.
Here's what's happening on the next episode of Kamen Rider Build, Episode 9: The Project Build Trap!
"The secret data entrusted by Katsuragi Takumi revealed the contents of a file known as “PROJECT BUILD”. The full picture of Ktsuragi Takumi was within it, including Katsuragi’s own research data reflecting on the system operations of the Build Driver. But why was Katsuragi, the founder of Faust, creating the Build system? There is an intense conflict developing between Sento and Ryuga, over if Build’s existence can be considered as “justice” or as a “weapon”…"
So far, Kamen Rider Build has been a great series and its toys have been fairly solid. Items like the Build Driver and DX Full Bottle sets being the best the toy line has to offer and the weapons, so far, being mediocre. Nothing egregiously bad but just nothing noteworthy, UNTIL NOW!
The Transteam Gun is the transformation device of Night Rogue and Blood Stark (I won't call him Stalk) and it is the best weapon of the line easily. The gun is a tad small but in fairness it looks small in Gentoku's hands in the show as well so I'll let that slide. The detail is fantastic, the gun fire sounds are satisfying and can be fired as fast or as slow as the user wants. You also get the DX Bat Full Bottle with this set, which can be inserted into the Transteam Gun for transformation into Night Rog...
This has to be some kind of record.
Looking back, I can't recall a single Kamen Rider series that opened so strongly, with such consistent quality across the board, for a period as long as eight straight weeks. There may be some shows that started amazing but petered off a bit, others that steadily arc up from a slower opening, and more still that just kinda ride a wave of generally okay episodes back-to-back-to-back. None in memory can boast what Build can, not once suffering a major dip in quality in such a timeframe. It's still early in the show's run, but that's worth celebrating. Kamen Rider Build is not messing around.
Last we saw, the gruesome twosome Ryuuga and Sento were hot on the trail of a lead that could potentially solve the murder of the man their lives have been ine...
Kamen Rider Build's 5th Best Match is the Flying Monotone! RocketPanda! This form is, unsurprisingly, made from the Rocket Full Bottle and the Panda Full Bottle. Panda is done up in a translucent white plastic and creates a cute image of a panda face. On the other hand, Rocket uses a light, almost sky blue color to differentiate itself from the other blue bottles, Tank and Diamond. It features the image of a rocket ship about to take off, complete with billowing smoke on the bottom, motion lines and some cool perspective work. Ultimately, these are 2 more solid Full Bottles and fans of Build are definitely gonna want them for their collections.

Well, if there is one thing to complain about with the Kamen Rider Build series so far, it's the toys. More specifically, the role play weapons (and the gimmick line, but we've been over that already). The Drill Crusher was underwhelming but it did come with a Full Bottle making it feel like a decent purchase. Then the Hawkgatlinger abandoned the Full Bottle gimmick and while it wasn't offensively bad it was far from a "must own" toy. Now we have the 4 Koma Ninpoutou aka the Ninja Art-Invoking Four-frame Ninja Sword and its name is the longest thing about it.
The sword itself I think is a cool concept, combining a pen and a sword making a pretty sweet weapon in the show, but as a toy it ends up being more pen than sword. If I haven't made my point clear enough yet, this thing is tiny...
Kamen Rider Build's 3rd Full Bottle collectible set is that of Ninja and Comic. A bright purple and yellow duo, these two combine to give Sento his Ninnin Comic form. There's not much more to say, they're standard Full Bottles. The sculpted detail is nice, the sounds effects are solid and the price is highly affordable and super wallet friendly. If you like the Full Bottle gimmick, you'll like Ninnin Comic. Now, please enjoy my review for the Stealthy Entertainer! Yeeeeeeeah!

We're back on the air and ready to podcast once again! Apologies for the long hiatus, but I've been doing some "wandering of the Earth" and have stories from Japan to bring back as well as how my world of toku has grown since last we recorded. My audio at first is kinda off, cuz my computer is a bit crappy these days. So, at times there's delays between when i say something and when the others respond. That clears up by time we talk about build, so hang in there!
In the podcast we do some catching, discussing the past couple years of toku, some passing impressions of Kamen Rider Drive, some Ghost talk as well. And we delve a little into the Ultraman Universe as well.
But the main show and what you've been waiting for... is first out discussion of the FREAKING AWESOME Kamen Ri...
New posters for this winter's Kamen Rider mega-crossover event, Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FINAL: Build & Ex-Aid with Legend Riders, have surfaced, and we've got our microscopes handy for some good old-fashioned speculation about what these images could mean for the landmark film. As the headlining Kamen Rider Build takes center stage as the final Rider series of this decades-long franchise to air during Japan's Heisei Era, this can be seen as the closing chapter of an epic saga. At least until next year, where we inevitably start all over again.
First, the beautious new posters for the film, featuring the star-studded cast of superheroic figures of past and present, among which are a few actors that many Rider fans never believed they'd see again.

As we hit the gong on this drama-filled half-hour, the identity of Night Rogue is finally revealed, an angry Ryuuga goes ape, and a sad panda fights a losing battle in a strange land. It's just another day at the mad scientist's office for Kamen Rider Build, in Episode 7!
For those of us still keeping score, this makes seven straight episodes now that Kamen Rider Build has directly affected the main plot of the series and moved us forward at a strong pace. At some point, I may get sick of pointing this out, but today is not that day. I'm still tickled pink at the prospect of a Kamen Rider show with at least 40-something episodes of pure development and very little fat to trim. It's been fivever since I was this engaged, and I don't want the ride to stop.
We begin with Ryuuga impati...
