Well, here's a twist. One place where you're almost sure not to find any patented daddy issues in the tokusatsu subgenre this year is the upcoming Hero Mama League, a wholly unexpected crossover event that gathers three heroines from Super Sentai television history, for a story about these superpowered ladies balancing their lives as world-saving badasses and the everyday challenges of being a mother. And while I'm no Spada, I'd say that Uchu Sentai Kyuranger's blend of wacky fantasy and epic drama provides a well-Balanced meal for my tokusatsu soul. Let's catch up on recent events with this show, and wonder what we did to deserve them. When last we discussed Kyuranger, our terminally red hero Lucky was about to jump into the past to join the time-displaced portion of this ever-growing team of space adventurers, once again proving that even time travel can't keep Red off the screen for more than a few seconds in a row. It's for a good reason, but one can't help but notice how continuously Lucky (...
