At long last, he arrives. Ever since the Godzilla franchise branched out, sending the atomic lizard on a rampage through the landscape of animation with Toho Studios' new anime film trilogy, international kaiju fans have wondered when they were going to get a chance to see his first outing, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters for themselves. Now, thanks to the fine folks at Netflix, the Polygon Pictures 3D animated feature makes its way to our screens this January. Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters is stomping its way into the print medium with a new comic based on this, the first official animated feature for the long-running Godzilla franchise. The giant lizard's story will be told in manga form based on the character designs from the film, with new material only found in this version of the tale. Published in Shonen Jump this March and illustrated by Youth Kurahashi. Meanwhile, the kaiju anime trilogy continues its rampage as the second of the three gets its title. Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters is currently in theaters in Japan, before it arrives to Netflix in 2018! Now, on its theatrical release Polygon Pictures' announced the title for the second film in this anime trilogy; the sequel is entitled Godzilla: Decisive Battle Mobile Breeder City. In addition, Polygon Pictures released a teaser visual for next installment, which is of the Anti-Godzilla Decisive Battle Weapon, "Mechagodzilla."
