Are we all caught up on Power Rangers HyperForce? No? Well, what are you waiting for? The Hyper RPG show based on the Power Rangers TV saga is ramping up toward the end of their season. But before we hit the climax of their time-trekking journey, we'll briefly look back on some of the memorable bits from the story so far. The live gamesters at HyperForce were given a shock as a new player entered the arena in the form of Yoshi Sudarso, the Blue Ranger of Power Rangers Dino Charge. You'd think his brother Peter Sudarso, current Blue Ranger of Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel, would have known ahead of time that Yoshi would be making his first appearance on the show some weeks ago. But what fun would that be, eh? For posterity, we may either relive or experience for the first time, th...

What a time to be a Power Rangers fan. A certain number of years ago, the thought of more seasons of the show would have seemed farfetched, let alone the release of a feature-length film, a live streaming show, an addictive mobile game, and a successful line of ongoing comics to add on top of that. There's a lot to be thankful for in 2018, and the hits, it seems, just keep on coming. Now, as we rev up for the launch of the Power Rangers: Shattered Grid comic event, the main writer of the BOOM! Studios publication brings to us this live-action teaser short, starring none other than original Green Ranger Jason David Frank from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (and, like, fifty other seasons) as the villainous Lord Drakkon. Kyle Higgins has been putting in work these past couple years with B...

Four years after their story was completed, the cast of the dinosaur-themed series Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger comes back for another hurrah, in this completely random, unexpected appearance. Showing up in multiple online videos, including a complete "lost" episode of the series, they're back to show us once again how brave they can be. The videos are a collaborative promotional effort between RPG video game developers A-Lim and the tokusatsu maestros at Toei Company, as a means of advertising the upcoming Brave Frontier 2. The mobile game seemingly bears no resemblance to the live-action special effects stylings of Kyoryuger except on the basic level that they both feature heroic figures in outlandish costumes beating the stuffing out of monsters. Also, the word "brave" is said about ...

Actor Yoshi Sudarso returns for his second appearance on Power Rangers HyperForce. Originally appearing as the immortal caveman superhero Koda from Power Rangers Dino Charge, he now solidifies his place among the new world-saving cast of this live roleplaying game show on Twitch. He rejoins his brother Peter Sudarso (Preston, the current Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel) who now plays Red Ranger Marv in this streaming series. https://youtu.be/tyqGSfGb0lE It's quite early, but the show in its current incarnation seems as yet undisturbed by the recent ripples of news about toymaker Bandai. After a long collaborative relationship with Saban Brands as they worked together to make the Power Rangers a household name, the two companies have parted ways, making room for Hasbro to slide into pla...

The New York Toy Fair is currently in full swing. This is the time when companies create booths and give presentations to the press to show up what direction they are heading and what toys are coming out for the year. For toy geeks, it's like Christmas seeing all the new reveals. But one announcement that rocked the toy world was made a couple days prior. In probably the greatest shock to the fandom, it was revealed that Bandai of America and Saban Brands would be parting ways in 2019! After 25 years, Bandai of America will no longer make Power Rangers toys or import items from Toei Co's Super Sentai. Though it should be noted that Bandai of Japan will still continue to support Super Sentai with toys and merchandise. To put this announcement in perspective this would be like Hasbro di...

Well, this is an interesting turn of events. After a partnership that endured across two and a half decades, entertainment company Saban Brands has taken a page out of the playbook of their most famous characters and decided to sacrifice the zords. Bandai America, who has worked with Saban for 25 years to produce toys based upon the long-lasting Power Rangers brand, has jointly announced its separation from the media company. Fans are already reeling from the thought that the one other consistent name that carried alongside Saban's where its multicolored superheroes were concerned may soon fade into memory. But as the news comes as a surprise, it's also not one that causes much confusion either. Bandai and Saban's statement follows: "After a successful 25-year partnership building ...
