Shout! Factory continues to crush it with their ongoing home video releases of the Super Sentai franchise as they prepare to roll out Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoV a mere three months after their impending release for its predecessor, Seijuu Sentai Gingaman. The 1999 series was eventually adapted for American consumption by Saban as Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, and like all of Shout's titles in the Super Sentai line, this marks one of the first times the original story will be told unedited for its official US release. GoGoV chronicled the exploits of the Tatsumi Family as they waged war against a horde of monsters bent upon destroying everything their rescue organization fought to protect. A bit of trivia, which may constitute a mild spoiler for the uninitiated, concerns how the team ...

So, here we are at the finale of the Ultraman Geed television series. And while there's so much to have loved about this story of the son of a corrupt titan taking his place among vaunted heroes, I can say that my feelings about the show's end, in many ways, mirror the same complicated thoughts evoked by its first few episodes. Kei is a villain of a special breed. It's rare to have such ...

The Power Rangers are no strangers to the world of villainy, each week facing off against a fresh adversary with dark intentions, typically under the direction of a sinister overlord with a master plan just waiting to be foiled by those pesky, multi-colored younglings in spandex. As Halloween has now come upon us, what better time to talk about monsters than on the week we'll likely have seen more of them than any other? We're here to talk about bad guys. Ranking the best (or worst, if you prefer) enemies our costumed heroes have encountered in their decades-spanning adventures. And for the purposes of this handy list, we'll define "best" in general terms. We're not necessarily talking about who's the strongest physically or who can rack up the most experience points against their sup...

Power Rangers: The 10 Best Episodes

Top 10 lists are funny. If someone were to ask us a year from now the same question that prompted this list, you could be forgiven for somehow coming up with a completely new set of titles. That's not because we're fickle or indecisive, but because we're talking about Power Rangers, a franchise that boasts a formidable episode number that climbs north of 800! And while a few (or more) of them could be tossed into the category of half-hours some would like to forget, there's a ton more that made us laugh, or cheer, or even cry. So, instead of reaching for a "definitive" list of sweepingly elite installments of this epic franchise, let's check out a few big favorites, presented from one dedicated viewer's perspective. When people wonder why we watch this show, for some of us, the ans...
