Ultraman Geed is back. Just a few months after the giant hero series aired its final episode, we return for one last battle with Asakura Riku, the young son of the villainous Belial, as he fights to protect the world he now calls home from the rampage of alien monsters. And here to light a fire under his shiny, silver exterior is none other than Kurenai Gai, the harmonica-playing wanderer best known as the title hero of 2016's Ultraman Orb. Let's do this. https://youtu.be/vioFksgzeY8 Now, as much as I try to get hyped on Geed again, I have to say that it made me laugh a bit to see him quickly reduced to a self-doubting kid again after the events of his own series, apparently leading to Gai stepping in to give him a pep talk about what must be done. Gai is kind of the bigger draw here...

The rubber red carpet has been rolled out for Ultraman these past few months. The giant monster-fighting superhero franchise has seen action on TV screens, streaming platforms, and home media everywhere, both in live-action and animated forms, with even more on the way. This includes the upcoming television premieres of Ultraman Gaia, Ultraman Ginga, and Ultraman Ginga S. This, of course, comes to us courtesy of TOKU, the Olympusat Inc. TV station branded by its affinity for action, special effects, and anime gems the likes of which we at Henshin Justice Unlimited just don't know how to quit. In the past, they've already aired classic tokusatsu series like Ultraman Leo and Gridman: The Hyper Agent as well as animated title The☆Ultraman, the first of its kind but not the last. Suf...

If you've been following us closely over the past few months, you know we're pretty big fans of Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga in these parts. The space fantasy prequel to the giant hero series Ultraman Orb first streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Japan before making its way to terrestrial television and home video. It constitutes for this fan one of the biggest, most exciting offerings from the long-running Ultraman franchise in years and any Ultra nerd who has yet to witness its greatness should rectify this mistake as soon as possible. In the meantime, here's the show's second opening theme song in the original Japanese, followed by the same song in English. Because why the hell not? Those who already know the holy experience that is Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga may or may not ha...

The star of 2016's Ultraman Orb, Kurenai Gai was an alien wanderer who seemed to joyfully stumble about the cosmos running into danger wherever it may be, ready to take on the giant monsters that inevitably threaten innocents in every corner of the vast Ultraman multiverse. Now, fans new and old have the chance to see his journey through new eyes, with this series. Before the uninitiated get too excited, let's establish right now that this is not likely to be a series featuring new stories for the character. In Ultraman Fusion Fight, the towering monsters of the Ultra Series multiverse and the giant heroes who defend against them are swept up in a battle for supremacy. As modern Ultraman features characters whose strange and varied forms are combined and manipulated into new "fusions", this arcade-style Carddass game capitalizes on that feature to the Nth degree, constantly updating with newer and more bizarre meldings of popular figures from their decades-spanning franchise. Including those of 2017's Ultraman Geed and 2016's Ultraman Orb. If the name Carddass makes you think of aliens from Star Trek rather than the mechanics of the game, fret not. As far back as 1988, toy behemoth Bandai has consistently released new DataCarddass collectible trading cards, based upon many well-known prop...
