HurricaneYellow isn't out of the monster-fighting biz just yet. Actor Yamamoto Kohei, known to many Super Sentai fanatics as super-ninja Bito Kota on Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger, is hard at work on a new project for Toei Company. The developing TV series will feature a new hero not affiliated with the likes of Toei's usual suspects from the long-running Kamen Rider and Super Sentai franchises.
Kaiju Ward Gallas, as the name implies, is a kaiju show, with giant monsters as a centerpiece. Not a first for Toei, but after years of focusing heavily on their Big Two, this comes as somewhat of a surprise. Kaiju action is more Tsuburaya Productions' thing. With their ongoing Ultraman franchise, they've defined the look and feel of giant monster action on the small screen for decades now. Elsewhe...

This time, they face an enemy from distant Ranger history in the form of the Wizard of Deception of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Brennan Mejia slips back into the spandex of Red Ranger Tyler Navarro from Power Rangers Dino Charge. And we can't get enough of Ciara Hanna lately, as she comes back for another mini-production playing in the Ranger sandbox, as Yellow Ranger Gia Moran from Power Rangers Megaforce.
Tyler and Gia are BACK to join forces against an old enemy from the Mighty Morphin' days, the Wizard of Deception. But what what will they do when t...

What's a burrito?
We've got food on the brain as we jump into another exciting episode of Power Rangers HyperForce. And this time, the heroes of Hyper RPG's live roleplay series are joined by a trio of heroes from the long-running Power Rangers legacy. Including Christopher Khayman Lee, reprising his role as Red Ranger Andros of 1998's Power Rangers in Space, along with returning guests Karan Ashley and Mike Ginn, as Yellow Ranger Aisha of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Gold Ranger Gem of Power Rangers RPM respectively. It's one episode before the season finale. Do they dare end it all on a cliffhanger?

Well, here's a twist. One place where you're almost sure not to find any patented daddy issues in the tokusatsu subgenre this year is the upcoming Hero Mama League, a wholly unexpected crossover event that gathers three heroines from Super Sentai television history, for a story about these superpowered ladies balancing their lives as world-saving badasses and the everyday challenges of being a mother. Yeah. This is happening.
It comes to us via the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club app, complimenting Toei Company's recent efforts to keep the spirit alive for the countless heroes running around their seemingly limitless multiverse of demons, aliens, and super-ninjas, righting wrongs long after their original shows leave the airwaves. As we gear up for the next entry into the new ongoing Space Sq...
What a time to be a Power Rangers fan. A certain number of years ago, the thought of more seasons of the show would have seemed farfetched, let alone the release of a feature-length film, a live streaming show, an addictive mobile game, and a successful line of ongoing comics to add on top of that. There's a lot to be thankful for in 2018, and the hits, it seems, just keep on coming. Now, as we rev up for the launch of the Power Rangers: Shattered Grid comic event, the main writer of the BOOM! Studios publication brings to us this live-action teaser short, starring none other than original Green Ranger Jason David Frank from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (and, like, fifty other seasons) as the villainous Lord Drakkon.
Kyle Higgins has been putting in work these past couple years with B...
Power Rangers Dino Thunder fans have something new to sonic scream about as actress Emma Lahana, best known to Power Rangers nerds as the high school rocker chick turned Yellow Ranger Kira Ford, has just landed a role on the upcoming Marvel series Cloak & Dagger. Disney's newly-branded cable television channel Freeform is set to launch this young adult-oriented superhero series based on the comic book of the same name.
The singer/actress took to Twitter herself to relay the news, though we have yet to learn whether or not she'll be suiting up as another costumed heroine.
Couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of the @Marvel universe! I can’t give you guys the details of my character just yet ;) but I hope you love her as much as I do.
Cloak & Dagger follows the story of two te
Love it or hate it, Power Rangers HyperForce continues its story on streaming behemoth Twitch, serving as its own unique storytelling platform with its cast of role-playing gamers, setting out on an imaginative quest through time and space to save the world in this Hyper RPG series you won't find on television. And while the cast already includes two alumni from the Saban Brands TV franchise (Peter Sudarso of Power Rangers Ninja Steel, Paul Schrier of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and more), along with a number of special guests, Hyperforce originally packed even more Ranger star power, in the form of Ciara Hanna. In 2013's Power Rangers Megaforce, Hanna played Yellow Ranger Gia, the closest thing the recent era of the long-running franchise has to a Teenager with Attitude. But before Han...
The Twitch role-playing game series Power Rangers HyperForce returns with its fourth installment, welcoming actress Karan Ashley to their table for the show's latest special guest appearance. Taking over for original Yellow Ranger Trini, played by Thuy Trang, Karan portrayed the new girl Aisha, in the second and third seasons of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, in the interim starring in the show's first feature adaptation, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. She joins the HyperForce crew for another three-hour tour through the Power Rangers Universe from the lens of tabletop role-play.
And if that doesn't add enough Hype to your Force, take a gander at this fan-made animated opening sequence from HJU's own Japanime.
Austin St. John, who everyone knows as the original Red Power Ranger, recently came back from overseas, and he decided to sit down with fellow former Power Ranger actor, Karan Ashley, on her online radio show "Uncensored Radio".
