Sometimes I wonder how I got so many of you to hang out with me here at HJU. Then I think to myself, it probably helps that I actually love my posters and visitors. I see most websites that almost seem to tolerate the people that make their sites worth visiting. Some places that just seem to hunt for someone to fuck up. Others seem barely aware that they have people that come to their sites. Here… I’m thankful everyday I look down at the bottom of the forum to see so many people logged in and hanging out. As I’ve said many times, I don’t know much about tokusatsu. Not half of what everyone else here knows. But I like the fandom, I love you guys, and I just wanted to say, thank you for all the birthday wishes, happy birthday also to Japan Hero Jeff, and I look forward to rocking out with you all for another year. \m/^__^\m/

This was the aftermath of my New Year’s Eve experience.

Juggling Rock Band with social interaction (i.e Slipping on spilled beer, watching my friend get hit in the face with a cake, etc.), the living room was covered in a barrage of confetti cannons, turning things into a miniature re-enactment of Times Square in New York. Despite it being blurry, this picture really sums it up. God I miss having a beanbag of my own.

But then of course, the best part was afterwards when I heard that my mother was spending New Year’s alone due to my father having to go into work and I embarked on a journey to try and bus it home (T’was free to ride that night). Sadly, it ended with me getting stranded and nearly frostbitten, my mom going to bed before I got there and a reminder that a certain friend of mine freaking rocks.

….Okay, enough personal bits. Let’s make up for lost time and start the year off right with a brand spanking new Friday ACE!

Well, well, well…. could Kamen Rider have become watchable again? Yeah, I know Den-O has its fans, but I just could not get into it. KR is usually my main tokusatsu, but this year i get my fix from Cutey Honey and GekiRanger. Could Kamen Rider take back the throne in 2008? We shall see… enjoy the promo!

Pretty Soldier Sailor Spork Productions keeps the hits coming, trucking on all the way up to Episode 11 of the fan-fucking-tastic, Cutey Honey the Live Series. I got to break open a marathon over Christmas to catch up and this show is badass. Below I’ve posted up Episode 10 that introduces the Third Pretty Honey Soldier.

Meanwhile Jan, wanting to release his father’s Fierce Soul, decides to defeat Suugu himself.

After the coming of the new year the Den Liner is filled with holiday air. The Owner decides to challenge the Station Director to a fried rice match. He says that if he misses this chance, he won’t be able to meet the Station Director for quite a while. Meaning that the future will be decided. While talking about these and other things, Urataros and Kintaros, see their fingertips transform into sand for just a split second.
Ryotaro makes a visit to the temple with his sister Airi. She could be targeted by the Imagin anytime, now that they know she’s the turning point. Yuuto and Ryotaro tighten the security around her but Kai along with a great number of Imagin had already started his move.
