If you’re a geek you would have at least heard a whisper about Marvel’s blockbuster crossover, CIVIL WAR. Now this might not be henshin but at a time when epic stories are coming to their close, I think Marvel’s excellent job at a truely world changing crossover deserves some recognition.
I remember I was pretty heavy into Marvel, DC and Image back in the 90’s. Every year some event would hit that would promise “to change everything!” And by the end of the arc, everything was reset back to the status quo and nothing had changed. Maybe someone would get a new suit, or a new character would be introduced, or even someone might die but by the end of it all… none of that would last. The hero would get his old suit back, the new character would be killed if he wasn’t that popular and that dude who got killed would inevitiably come back. But this… there are things that took place in Civil War you can’t take back and truely one of the most established comic book worlds has been turned on its ear. On April 21st, a one shot tokusatsu will be aired. There will be a one episode tokusatsu prologue named “Skullman: Prologue of Darkness” airing one week before the anime series “Skullman”. The special will be marked as Episode Zero. It will star Ami Suzuki and Shigeki Hosokawa, also something that should be noted, the entire special was shot on green screen.

Phoenix Nest, with all the GUYS troopers on board, leaves the moon, but is attacked near landing and apparently explodes before Mirai’s eyes. According to the reports Jooji is the only survivor.
However Mirai doesn’t believe his comrades dead. When Jooji is asked the truth, he says that all the GUYS crew is being held hostage by one of the Four Sky Kings: Desuremu.
If Mebius aknowledges absolute defeat on Earth, the hostages will be released.
Desuremu appears in the city. Mirai transforms into Mebius and confronts him but his comrades being held hostage stop him from fighting.
The people know about the GUYS crew being held and start criticizing both Mebius and GUYS.
When asked to choose between his comrades and the people, Mirai starts to doubt about the humans because of their anger with the fact that the GUYS crew had survived.
Then, Gou Hideki, Ultraman Jack appears before Mirai.

Airs February 25th 2007.

Ryoutaro gets involved in a truck accident and loses consciousness. Then he is possessed by an Imagin that is not Momotaros, who senses the intrusion from the Den Liner and immediately concentrates on “getting him out no matter what”.
At that time Ryoutaro, with some minor injuries, becomes the nursing staff’s idol at the hospital. Of course it was the Imagin’s personality in display. With sweet words, unthinkable to come from Ryoutaro, he was charming the nurses.
The two Imagin confront through Ryoutaro’s body. Meanwhile, another Imagin closes the contract with a young soccer player…

Waki-waki! Beast Fist Gattai!
Sha-Fu, through the Gekiwaza “Bai Bai Bunshin Ken” or “Times Times Clone Fist” created a giant version of himself and blew Giant Makirika away. Having seen this, Ran and Retsu ask Sha-Fu to teach them the Gekiwaza. Sha-Fu responds saying that the way to obtain it is to first teach Jan the Beast Arts. The two reluctantly start the training, but Jan, bored with the basic training, runs away taking the GekiNunchakus with him.
The end of Kabuto has come. A big thanks to the heroes over at TV Nihon that labored all year to bring this series to its final completion. While some may argue, and rightfully so, that the series didn’t end up being all it could’ve been it has been no dout one hell of a ride full of characters, moments, story arches and phat beats that many of us will never forget. You got some big ass shoes to fill, Den-O… make us proud.
See you on the otherside, Kabuto… rock on.
Another episode of Kamen Rider Den-O lands, and the final episode of Kamen Rider Kabuto is nowhere in sight… but don’t fret.

Happy Valentine’s Day, heroes of justice! I give you the absolutely gorgious, Kandis Erickson who plays the photographer, Maya, who ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time; but couldn’t have ended up any other place better for her soon to be fans.
When I asked Steve, “So… any chance of her donning a Kamen Rider suit,” he answered… “As for Kandis becoming a Rider, I guess you can say there is a possibility that can happen, but it’s not official…”
Keep your fingers crossed, and we just might get our first Female Rider here in America!
