No Tokusatsu news to post up at the moment, so I thought I’d hit ya up with a blitz of video game goodness. The Nintendo Wii ferkin’ took over my office this Tuesaday. True to the legend, folk who never touch video games found themselves in the mix and showing of their boxing chops. You can check out the bulk of the pictures here and see me throwdown with my buddy in a little Wii Boxing, here. And for the record, even though the video makes it look otherwise, I actually lost.
In other news, our friends over at Broadcast Gamer have a vertiable blitz of video game news and discussion, including a weekly Top Three, where they discuss their Top Three Video Game Villians. MORE news concerning the Final Fantasy XII and further adventures in FF Tactic’s Ivalice can be found here and here.
That should be enough content to tide you over for the weekend. And if that’s not enough, Mike has a Bonus Episode of R5 Central and TV Nihon has released Episode 38 of Kamen Rider Kabuto!
What’re ya waiting for!? Get to downloadin’!

This is pretty unusual and an unfortunate far cry from the ninja theme that we’d originally heard of in early rumors. The Rider of 2007 is apparently… train themed.
O…kay… well. I didn’t like Kabuto’s designs much either when I first saw ‘em and I thought two forms was a waste of time. Now it’s currently my all time favorite tokusatsu. Here’s another picture, so… yeah. I guess we’ll see how it turns out!

A revelation. A memory. A future. During the madness of the PS3 Launch weekend, Mike finds something that may very well spell the end of the world as we know it.
…No we don’t mean the rough cut of the new Transformers movie. We’re actually looking forward to that.
Get ready for the beginning of the end folks and click the pic to hear Episode 28 of R5 Central!

One of the last projects of the late Akio Jissoji, Twitch Film has revealed that DIE SILBERMASKE (Or just Silver Kamen/Silver Mask) has unleashed its first trailer via Youtube. Along with a short performance of the original series theme.
Instead of being a sequel to the original series, this looks to be a re-imagining of the concept, now set in the 1920’s in Germany. The movie is set to be released on December 23rd, exclusively at Tokyo’s Euro Space.
Here’s the thing, a rep from Genon USA told me last year at Reactor that they got their hands on a certain live action property that they were going to release stateside but was under threat of death if he revealed it. One has to wonder, is this it?
Only time will tell

The hits just keep on coming today! Blue brings us some more scan goodness over in the forums. The new Riders cometh… and boy do they have some pretty big shoes to fill. Can these newbies stack up to the awesome fury of drama and action that Kabuto has brought us? One thing’s for sure, Tendo, Kagami n’ pals are going to be greatly missed by many. Here’s for hoping Tau and his band of fighters can stack up to the series that walked the path of heaven.

Yo! It looks like I DO have something special for ya! The first and probably only episode of Geek Justice, where me and Cap’ Rawkenspiel of Broadcast Gamer fame give our review for Silent Hill. This here was recorded months ago, but it went through several hands to get produced and put up. Now thanks to the Angry Zen Master, the show has been put up for you to download.
It ain’t the best podcast in the world, but I think it’s servicable if you wanna hear some spoilerifict discussion on a several month old movie. We also have some geek recommendations that still stand the test of time. So enjoy my first podcast.
But… it will not be the last. I’m assembling a Force of Toku Fans, the likes which has never been seen in the tubes of the internets. So sit tight. 2007 is gonna be a party and HJU will be your bartender for the evening. ^__-
Keep on rockin’.
