I remember snagging this little ditty for my Sega Dreamcast back in the day. Didn’t understand a ferkin’ bit of it, but damned if it wasn’t fun taking all my ‘bots and proceeding to both rock and sock them together. And now it’s finally out in America, courtesy of Altus for the Gameboy Advance. I’m thinking about picking up this baby today. If you wanna see what others might have to say about it, check out the forums.

See you on the battlefied.

New “Ghetto” Toku Series: Lion Maru G, Coming in October!

8 08 2006

nullShadowRider breaks the news in the forums and the famous August Ragone comes in to finish off the job with all the details that go a little something like… this:

By August,
This new series, now in production, is set 300 years after the events in the original KAIKETSU LION MARU (1972-73) created by Shoji Ushio (aka Tomio Sagisu) and his P-Productions. The premise of LION MARU G (the “G” stands for “Ghetto” — I kid you not), is that Shishimaru (the human form of Lion Maru) and Jonosuke (the human form of Tiger Jo) are reincarnated to continue their battles in today’s world. LION MARU G has been in development for quite some time — five years ago as “Samurai Lion” as a proposed live action or anime series. Tsuburaya Entertainment was the agent for the proposal, Sony was involved at one point, and it was considered for development over at the Cartoon Network on Adult Swim. Finally, the series proposal reverted back to the Japanese side, and finally there is a new show in being produced.

TMNT Interview: Kevin Munroe

2 08 2006

nullAngery Zen Master holds a Ph. D in rule, and you should all go check it out. As far as I’m concerned it’s one of the best geek news sites in cyberspace. While I was over there I came across a link to Newsarama and the Kevin Munroe Interview, giving us an inside peak to the upcoming Turtles flick. It’s quite an interesting read and one that I definately recommend.

Well, isn’t this just prime?!?!? I was looking through the post about GARO’s X-Mas special, when what else do I find but a glimpse of GARO in 2006 posted up by kyo28, featuring a first look at the newest fighter to take up the sword along with Kouga and Rei. Currently his name’s unknown, but when we know, you’ll know.
