Enjin Sentai Go-Onger: What We Know
An early rundown of Enjin Sentai Go-Onger, the 32nd Super Sentai series, described a five-member team of red, blue, yellow, black, and green warriors combining the franchise’s animal and vehicle motifs, with black and green joining the core team from early on rather than as later-arriving extra Rangers. Red, blue, and yellow were reported to share the Henshin Go-Phone transformation device while green and black used the separate Shift Changer, and the series was said to center on power-granting items called Engine Souls.
The primary mecha, EngineOu, was described as forming from three animal-styled vehicles, with green and black getting their own mecha serving as arm attachments. The team’s sidearm was named as the MantanGun, styled after a gas pump, alongside a combined team weapon called the Highway Buster and a separate combination weapon, the Junction Rifle, for the green and black Rangers. Chiaki J. Konaka, credited for prior work on Ultraman Gaia, The Big O, Digimon Tamers, and Hellsing, was rumored to be the series’ chief writer.
