Kamen Rider Dragon Knight's Official Trailer Debuts
The official trailer for Kamen Rider Dragon Knight surfaced online in April 2008, ahead of any formal American release, after going live on a Japanese platform first. Producer Steve Wang’s team had reportedly been holding the footage back at the request of higher-ups, but the trailer made it into general circulation regardless.
The clip gave the clearest look yet at the show’s premise: Riders drawn into conflict against each other and against Xaviax, the villain steering events from behind the scenes. One line stuck with early viewers, Len, played by Matt Mullins as Kamen Rider Wing Knight, delivering the show’s central promise: “Together, we’ll be stronger.”
Whether Dragon Knight would dethrone Power Rangers as the dominant American tokusatsu adaptation was, at that point, an open question. What the trailer made clear was that Power Rangers no longer had the American Rider-adjacent space entirely to itself.
