Steve Wang Presents Power Rangers Lost Galaxy: The Rescue Mission

Ahead of Kamen Rider Dragon Knight’s premiere, director Steve Wang’s earlier work directing the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy episode “The Rescue Mission” was highlighted as an indicator of the action and tone to expect from the new series. Wang was described as having said he had to scale back some elements of the episode from his original plans, but was able to keep much of what he wanted, including action, blasters, monsters, and a death, an unusual beat for the franchise at the time.
