Go-Busters Scans Reveal the Go-Buster Ace, Vagras Backstory, and Team Weapons

New magazine scans gave an in-depth look at Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters ahead of its premiere the following month. The Go-Busters fight the Evil Mechanical Army, Vagras, which was banished to a dark dimension 13 years before the story begins. After gaining access to Enetron, a new type of energy supporting humanity’s daily life, the Vagras began slowly returning to Earth to seize more of it, with plans to use Enetron to control the human race. Enter, a spy for Vagras, inserts a virus into objects in the human world to create a Metaroid; whenever a Metaroid is created, an evil Megazord is created simultaneously, remaining in the dark subspace to power up until it can be transported to Earth using Enetron. The Vagras army is led by an evil program called Messiah.

The Go-Busters counter with their own megazord, the Go-Buster Ace, whose special attacks can cause an enemy to “shut down.” Its weapons are powered by Enetron. The team also uses a set of vehicles called Buster Vehicles, the first being Buster Vehicle CB-01 Cheetah, which has three modes after combining with its rider: Animal Mode, forming a cheetah; Vehicle Mode; and the Go-Buster Ace form.

The Go-Busters carry two personal weapons. The Binocular Blade has a Binocular Mode, which lets Yellow Buster track the movement of Enetron, and a Blade Mode. The One-Eyed Buster similarly has a camera mode and a gun mode, and combining the two weapons unlocks a One-Eyed Buster Special Buster Mode. The team is backed by a small support staff consisting of Miho, Takeshi, and Tooru.
