More Cast and Plot Details Surface for Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters

Ahead of the premiere of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, additional information about the series surfaced. Hiromu Sakurada, 20 years old, transforms into Red Buster. He has an older sister, Rika Sakurada, who is aware of his identity as Red Buster but does not approve of him fighting against the Vagras. Hiromu and his friends gained their superhuman powers by having a program inserted into their bodies, though the powers came with a secret weak point in exchange.

The Go-Busters are supported by a team consisting of operator Tooru Morishita, commander Takeshi Kuroki, and newly recruited operator Miho Nakamura. Tooru serves as the team’s informant, keeping them updated on Vagras activity.

The series’ backstory involves a virus that penetrated a research lab’s systems 13 years earlier, infecting a program and giving rise to an entity called Messiah. The scientist responsible, Yousuke Sakurada, Hiromu’s father, sent the entire building along with Messiah into subspace to save the world. The Messiah virus program went on to become the leader of the Vagras, who are now working to bring it back to Earth. The villain Enter, played by Shou Jinnai, works as a spy for the Vagras on Earth.

On the mecha side, a Megazord is created at the same time as a Metaroid. The Megazord remains in a separate subspace while powering up, reaching full charge once it absorbs the Metaroid’s power.
