A new issue of Figure-Oh previewed the upcoming crossover film Super Hero War with a substantial set of images and plot details. Tsukasa Kadoya appeared on-screen for the first time in two years, since Movie War 2010, once again serving as the Great Leader of Great Shocker, an army of monsters set on subjugating the Super Sentai. Opposing him, Captain Marvelous reigns as the Great Emperor of Great Zangyack, an empire built from the defeated villains of past Sentai teams; his goal is not the greatest treasure in the universe but a “supreme” treasure, which requires defeating every Kamen Rider to obtain. Both Decade and Gokai Red can transform into past heroes, Decade via Kamen Ride and Gokai Red via Gokai Change, setting up a central question of how their powers will measure up against each other.

Great Zangyack’s ranks include villains such as Walls Gill, Chimatsuri Doukoku, Genjuu Dragon-ken Long, Star Messiah Brajira, Akdos Gill, Quester Gai, Quester Rei, Silva, Hades God Dagon, and the Black Cross King. Great Shocker, again led by Tsukasa Kadoya, draws its own ranks from previously defeated Kamen Rider villains, including Doktor G (played by Tatsuhiro Okuda, originally the leader of the villain faction Destron in Kamen Rider V3 and here redesigned as Crab Laser), alongside Tiger Roid, Isogin-Jaguar, Go-Star, Scorpion Man, Coma Thunder, General Shadow, Shadowmoon, the Ten-Faced Demon Yumu Kimiru, Apollo Geist, and Weather Dopant. Biohunter Silva, previously seen in Choudenshi Bioman, also returns as Rider Hunter Silva, once again voiced by Kazuo Hayashi and wielding the Bio-Buster.

The story sees Great Zangyack target Fourze at Amanogawa High School, with Meteor and the surviving Sentai heroes, rallied by Akaranger, drawn into the fight. Kaitoh pursues Marvelous over the “treasure” and crosses paths with Hina, while Joe and Doc investigate the real motive behind Marvelous’s rider hunt, eventually joining forces. Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters also enter the fray: in one exchange, Decade transforms into Kabuto and uses Clock Up to attack, only for Red Buster to counter with his own super-speed ability.
