The Cast Behind Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger's Masks

With Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger’s suit designs and toy line already revealed, Toei followed up in February 2012 with the human faces behind the masks. The team consisted of Nobuo Akagi/Akiba Red, played by Masato Wada; Mizuki Aoyagi/Akiba Blue, played by Kyoko Nichinan; and Moegi Yumeria/Akiba Yellow, played by Karin Ogino. Rounding out the announced cast were Rei Uchida as Professor Hiroyo and the actress Honoka as the villain Marushina.

True to the series’ self-parodying premise, the team’s transformation device took the form of an anime-style toy figure rather than a conventional Sentai changer, and their vehicle of choice was the Machine Itassha, its exterior painted with an image of the toy figure the team used to transform, doubling as the show’s unofficial mascot.
