Tamashii Nations Plans Power Ranger 20th Anniversary Figuarts for SDCC 2013

Tamashii Nations met with Saban Brands during San Diego Comic-Con 2012 to plan a larger Power Ranger presence for the franchise’s 20th anniversary at SDCC 2013, including plans for Comic-Con exclusive figures.

The meeting was cited as the reason S.H.Figuarts had not yet covered Zyuranger, with the line reportedly being held back for a bigger 20th-anniversary rollout aimed at Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fans. SDCC 2012 itself featured fewer Power Ranger, Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider figures than usual, as Tamashii Nations focused that year on new anime and video game licenses.
