Evil Gokaigers in Go-Busters VS Gokaiger?

A plot summary published in Figure-Oh 178 revealed that the Gokaigers would return in the annual Super Sentai VS crossover, this time dressed in black and without Gai. The story centers on an old legend of five mysterious keys that, once gathered, lead to the Greatest Power in space. The Gokaigers, having left Earth after destroying Zangyack, return aboard a black Gokai Galleon bearing a Zangyack emblem, now apparently working alongside their old enemy. The Go-Busters realize they must fight both the revived Zangyack and the Gokaiger crew, while the Gokaigers Gokai Change into past teams including Goggle V and Timeranger during the battle.

The Go-Busters capture the villain ship’s navigation system, Navi, and learn that the Vaglass are also working with Zangyack, sending Yoko and J back in time to the Edo era. There they meet Rat Boy, a Japanese thief and folk hero, who turns out to be Gai in disguise. Gai explains that he came to help them, noting that, as the 36th Super Sentai team, they are owed some respect.

Go-Busters VS Gokaiger was set for release in Japanese theaters on January 19, 2013.
