First Look at the Cast of the Gatchaman Live-Action Film

Toei’s live-action adaptation of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman got its first cast preview in December 2012, in the form of a short, unsubtitled video that placed the assembled actors side by side and cut in footage from the original 1970s anime series. The clip stopped short of showing any of the cast in costume, offering only brief glimpses of the actors on set.

Among the cast confirmed in the preview was Tori Matsuzaka, previously known to tokusatsu audiences as Takeru Shiba, the red-suited lead of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. The full costume reveals and additional casting details followed in the months after this preview.
