Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger THE MOVIE previewed the plot of the crossover film ahead of its January 19, 2013 premiere. In the story, the returning Gokaigers come back from their voyage across the stars altered, turning to conquer Earth and leaving the Go-Busters to stop them. The preview raised questions about Female Shinken Red’s connection to events and teased the arrival of a new team. The Go-Busters were set to search for phantom Ranger Keys scattered through time and protect them from the corrupted Gokaigers, in order to guard what the preview called “the greatest power in the universe.” The film also marked the first on-screen appearance of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.
