An early scan from Super Hero Taisen Z appeared to show Gavan Type G standing alongside a lineup of Metal Heroes (Janperson, Jiraiya, Jiban, SynchRedder, and B-Fighter’s Blue Beet and Kabuto) coming to Gavan’s aid. A follow-up scan clarified that these weren’t the original Metal Hero actors at all: they were the Gokaigers, using Metal Hero Ranger Keys to Gokai Change into the classic heroes.

Details on whether the film’s promotion would extend to an actual Metal Hero Ranger Key toy set remained unconfirmed at the time, though the approach mirrored the prior year’s Super Hero Taisen release of a Kamen Rider OOO Ranger Key set.
