Kyoryuger and Wizard's Joint Summer Movie Announced as Magic Music Movie

Details on the annual double-billed Kamen Rider and Super Sentai summer film emerged in April 2013 under the shared title “Magic Music Movie.” The Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger half, written by Riku Sanjo and directed by Koichi Sakamoto, was billed as the first full musical in Super Sentai history, while the Kamen Rider Wizard half was set in a fictional “Land of Magic” featuring a new villain, the Golden Magician, written and directed by Junko Komura and Shojiro Nakazawa.

Both productions sought fan extras for filming, Kyoryuger needed 600 people aged 10 to 50 able to perform the film’s closing dance number, while Wizard asked for extras willing to come dressed in hoodies and belts. Both films premiered across Japan on August 3, 2013.
