Hiroaki Iwanaga Returns for the Fateful Movie Battle as Nobunaga
Hiroaki Iwanaga, who previously portrayed Date in Kamen Rider OOO, joined the cast of the Gaim/Wizard crossover movie as the historical figure Nobunaga, accompanied by his subordinate Ranmaru, who carries two handguns.
The film’s Gaim section sends Kouta into an alternate dimension resembling the historical Sengoku era, though rendered with a different kanji, echoing the Sengoku Driver’s own stylized “戦極” in place of the standard “戦国.” There, he encounters Kamen Riders known as Warrior Gods, each serving a ruling master. Warrior God W is ruled by Hideyoshi, played by Minehiro Kinomoto, alongside his concubine, while Nobunaga rules over Warrior God OOO; since this Sengoku era departs from the historical one, both Nobunaga and Ranmaru carry guns rather than period weapons.
The film’s Wizard section follows the National Security Bureau uncovering a facility producing artificial Phantoms, while Haruto searches for a resting place for Koyomi. Rinko and Kizaki investigate the facility and hire three Mages, Yuzuru, Mayu, and Masahiro, as bodyguards; during the investigation they encounter Koyomi transforming into the White Wizard, followed by the sudden appearance of multiple Carbuncle Phantoms. With Kousuke having lost his powers as Beast, the section raises the question of who is behind another Hyper Beast, and also features Ogre Phantom, a Phantom that consumes other Phantoms to absorb their power.
The movie premiered December 14, 2013.
