Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: 100 Years After Special Announced

A special hour-long V-cinema release titled Returned Home: Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: 100 Years After was announced for release on June 20, 2014, on DVD (6,800 yen) and Blu-ray (7,800 yen). The release ships with a program book and a special battery prop, and none of its footage was slated to air on television.

All six of the series’ lead actors were confirmed to return for the special, playing a new team of active Kyoryugers with markedly different color schemes and numbering from the original lineup. The announcement did not specify whether the new team members were meant to be direct descendants of the original Kyoryugers, though the franchise has used that device before, including a case within Kyoryuger’s own season where an actor played his own character’s descendant.

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger aired as the 38th entry in the Super Sentai franchise.
