Attack on Titan Live-Action Film Cast Announced

The confirmed cast for the two-part live-action adaptation of Attack on Titan included Haruma Miura as Eren Jaeger, Kiko Mizuhara as Mikasa Ackerman, Kanata Hongo as Armin Arlert, Satomi Ishihara as Hans/Hanji, Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha Blouse, and Takahiro Miura as Jean. Seven characters exclusive to the film version were cast as well, led by Hiroki Hasegawa as Shikishima; the Japanese sports paper Sanspo reported that Shikishima would hold the key to the film’s story as “humanity’s strongest man.” The rest of the film-exclusive roster included Ayame Misaki as Hiana, Pierre Taki as Souda, Jun Kunimura as Kubal, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Satoru Matsuo as Sannagi, and Rina Takeda as Lil.

Director Shinji Higuchi said the two-film project, developed under manga creator Hajime Isayama’s supervision, would stay grounded in the world and characters of the original manga while introducing new characters and enemies for the screen. Yuusuke Watanabe wrote the script alongside film critic Tomohiro Machiyama.
