The Kamen Rider franchise is getting even more generational with the latest in their series of movies based on the ongoing action hero franchise, Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER. And here's the poster to prove it. As previously mentioned, they keep trying to end this Heisei Era, but something's always standing in the way. A gaggle of heroes from recent (and not-so-recent) years in the Rider saga are returning for one last (lol) battle to save the world from evil. A new poster has been unveiled, to give you a taste of the combat to come. Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER hits theaters December 22, 2018.   You might also like: This New POWER RANGERS Cereal Wants in Your Mouth Toy Review: KAMEN RIDER ZI-O DX Faiz, Hibiki, Kabuto, Den-O Ride Watches, Faiz Phone...

One last battle remains to decide the fate of a post-apocalyptic Earth in Godzilla: Planet Eater, the third and final film in this 3D animated giant monster trilogy. From Toho Animation and Polygon Pictures, the series plays out as a three-act storyline for the King of Monsters, which finally reaches its conclusion this year, featuring one of Godzilla's most famous foes, the golden dragon King Ghidorah. There's no shortage of kings among the kaiju, are there? This time, King Ghidorah's looking a bit different, as the anime tale brings us a new vision of the beast whose divergent sights are about to be set against his enormous, reptilian co-star. If nothing else, you can't fault this series for lack of ideas. They've got more imagination packed into this thing than several live-acti...

Observe your viewing devices. As the first promotional trailer dropped last July, Bat in the Sun, with their partners at Qualcomm Snapdragon and G Fuel, promised a more complete version of legendary Street Fighter video game heroes Ryu and Chun-Li duking it out with the spandex-clad combatants of the Power Rangers television series. After months of waiting, their battle is finally at hand. And with it comes a smorgasbord of Ranger references and a load of stunts to entertain you, while also asking if you would please keep playing the Power Rangers Legacy Wars mobile game many fans have been digging so much lately. Now, the wrecked Megazord is a compelling sight for this PR fan, but I gotta ask. With all the hype surrounding Ryu's ascent to Rangerdom here, where's Chun-Li's Power Co...

It's that time again. Those lethal mutations with a talent for dismemberment are back for another season, now available in this official streaming release. It's the second chapter of Kamen Rider Amazons. (Or Amazon Riders, if you're feeling international). The reimagined series, loosely based on the classic 1974 title Kamen Rider Amazon, garnered enough success to sweep their fans up with another thirteen episodes of monster-fighting action. Courtesy of the streaming entertainment platform appropriately named Amazon Prime, Season 2 is now available in its original Japanese language with English subtitles. This is the love story between Chihiro, a boy raised by an Amazon, and Iyu, a girl brought back to life with the help of Amazons. It's far more than a mere, heart-warming "boy ...

Godzilla: Planet Eater, the third and final film in the animated experiment that is Toho's giant monster trilogy is nearly here. And its first imagery insists that we'll get some action with one of the atomic lizard's most fearsome foes, the great King Ghidorah. But it wouldn't be the G-trilogy without some unique spin on the classics, so we'll not be going in expecting the same three-headed space dragon we've known for decades. The anime three-parter's first installment stomped across Japanese cinema screens and international streaming monitors to a mixed array of reactions, ranging from "I loved it", hailing Godzilla: Planet of Monsters as a fresh visionary take, to "I hate it", dismissing it as a failure in concept and execution, and a whole gamut of emotions somewhere between the ...

As we wait to see what shape the Power Rangers television franchise takes next, it might be fun to have a look back on one of the brand's recent offerings. The title about a group of young heroes tasked with defending the world from evil in multi-colored outfits has been molded onto many grafts over the years. From the surprising success of the comics by publisher BOOM! Studios to the continued push for more fresh content on the Power Rangers Legacy Wars mobile game, fans new and old have had a lot to sink their teeth into, depending on their preferred niche. Chief among them was the 2017 film that arrived with far too little fanfare not to be swallowed up by the Disney adaptations, Marvel super-smashers, and generally flashy spectacle flicks all screaming for the attention of moviegoers...

... Okay, maybe that title was a little over-the-top, but I just couldn't help myself. Part of me has dreaded tackling this review. As a longtime fan of the Power Rangers franchise, it's not always easy to bring tough criticism to this thing I've loved for years, a huge influence on my life and how I see the world. It's even worse knowing that a number of people may have hoped to hear something quite different from me on this subject, and would be waiting to get my take on such a momentous occasion as this, the 25th Anniversary special episode. Certainly, it'll be an unpopular opinion with some, a few of which I'd count as friends. It's worse even still when one takes into account my opinion of the current season, Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel. The brutal truth is that I hesitate...

It's that time again. A new Power Rangers incarnation is on the horizon, and fitting with recent tradition, we're treated to an early trailer of what lies ahead for us in the coming year for this long-running franchise. In keeping with that tradition, of course, this video features no footage of any members of our new super-team, as it debuted at this month's Power Morphicon event so early that no actual scenes had yet been shot with them. What we do have is lots and lots of footage from 2012's Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, the 36th installment in Japan's Super Sentai brand, from which Power Rangers gets much of its action visuals. Power Rangers is such a unique animal when it comes to modern entertainment, a hybrid between Japanese-produced fight scenes from Toei Company and American-fu...

How many time puns can one blogger cram into the span of a few weeks? Guess we'll find out, as the pink carpet gets rolled out for the newest hero in the ongoing Kamen Rider super-saga from Toei Company. Kamen Rider Zi-O is time-slipping his way up and down the last twenty seasons of this illustrious franchise, mixing it up with the heroes and villains of Japan's Heisei Era, and god help you if you didn't pack a fire extinguisher. As previously mentioned, Zi-O is the 20th official Heisei Rider series, and they're pulling out all the stops on this nostalgic extravaganza, sure to bring back fond memories (and other stuff maybe) from the show's lengthy history. Naturally, the star of the show is young enough that he was only alive to know some of these guys and basically nothing of the s...

Everybody's passing out anniversaries this summer. Whether you're a longtime fan of Kamen Rider and hyped for the nostalgic rollercoaster sure to roll out from the latest Kamen Rider Zi-O, or are a fan of their American cousins in live-action, the Power Rangers, it's not the worst time to be someone who can quote whole episodes that aired years ago on command. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Ranger franchise, the current Teenagers with Attitude (or something) and some of their predecessors are meeting up for the sort of adventure that is rather rare these days. At least as far as their television exploits are concerned. We're speaking, naturally, of the special crossover episode of the Nickelodeon and Saban Brands title Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel, which promises to ...
