Update: After a misunderstanding between myself and DecaEnd, I believed that the AmiAmi article states that the original actors would be returning to fully voice their characters, but the article only states that characters would be voiced fully, but not by who. This does not mean to say they definitely aren’t coming back; the trailer does have voice overs from New Heisei Riders and alluding their possible return, but may simply be earlier recordings from the show or previous games. Apologies about the misunderstanding.
Original Story: Yet another piece of information about the newly announced Kamen Rider: Battride Wars PS3 game; gaming webstore Amiami has confirmed that original actors will be returning to reprise their roles.
They will be recording new lines in story mode – “Chronicle Mode” where the player will have to help the Riders regain their lost memories, so you’ll have to go back to “famous” scenes from the TV series. Which actors will be returning is not currently known.
The game will be similar gameplay to the Dynasty Warriors series; the player taking control of one character versus hundreds of weaker enemies. You will be able to ride the characters signature motorcycles or face enemies one-on-one. Currently, only Heisei Riders have been announced.
The regular edition will 7,480 yen, while the Premium TV Sound Edition will retail for 10,480 yen. The Premium TV Sound Edition contains 30 extra music tracks from all the various series featured in the game, and can be used as an extra custom soundtrack setting in the game.
The game is set for release 28th May 2013 on Playstation 3.
